Year 10 Drama
2015

EOTC trips

Great theatre is about challenging how we think and encouraging us to fantasize about a world we aspire to.
Willem Dafoe

I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.
Thornton Wilder

As an important part of the Drama and Performing Arts Technology courses, we offer the students the opportunity to see professional live theatre. This is the ‘real life’ authentic context for the work that we do in the classroom and on the stage. This is ‘best practice’, inspiration for our students. Theatre, as other art forms, also offers insights into ourselves and our worlds, makes us think and question and broadens our awareness of the important issues of our time.

The following trips have been arranged for 2015:
  • Thursday 5 March 11am: ‘Hikoi’ by Nancy Brunning, Q Theatre, City $25 includes ticket and transport
  • Thursday 19 March 11am: ‘The Book of Everything’ by Richard Tulloch, Q Theatre, City $25 includes ticket and transport

Information on how to sign up for each of these trips will be sent to families soon.

These trips are not compulsory. However, we do encourage families, as much as possible, to visit the theatre and experience live performance.
