                                 Schola Choir

The choir gives students the opportunity to develop their skills of musicianship, as a wide repertoire of music is covered so that it can be used in various performance opportunities - masses, school assemblies, concerts and the Big Sing competition.

We start in February with an open choir, allowing any student to come along and give it a try. Then auditions are held in late February, using one of the songs that they have all learnt as an audition piece.  During Music Camp at the beginning of the year (usually February) the choir can focus on a wide range of music in a short amount of time.

Schola also work with the Orchestra on some pieces, and have visiting choral experts throughout the year to help develop skills.

Come along and use the most easily transported musical instrument of all - your voice!
