The Atrium

The Atrium provides ample foyer space for the Auditorium when used in conjunction with events in the Auditorium.

The Atrium can also be used separately as an entertainment and function space for smaller events.

The sandblasted, ceiling high windows, designed by Annett Hanrahan RSCJ, bring natural light and garden views into the space. The larger window portrays the relationships between the school and the community. It shows the knowledge and the sources of knowledge, the Maori importance, and has the stairway to Heaven bordering each side of the window. The two smaller windows depict Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat RSCJ and Saint Phillippine Duchesne RSCJ.

The Atrium has a lightly equipped kitchen with a servery that transforms the space into a café and/or bar for guests at Auditorium events.  More information on the kitchen is available under 'resources' on this website.

If there is a plan to serve alcohol, this needs to be discussed with us prior to applying to the Auckland City Council for a temporary liquor licence to serve alcohol within our premises. No alcohol will be allowed on site without providing a copy of this licence.
