INTRODUCTION

The Travel and Tourism industry is one of the world’s largest industries. It is larger than agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, construction or telecommunications. It is also one of the world’s most exciting and glamorous industries and has grown significantly over the last 20 years.

There are many different careers open to students in the airline, travel and tourism industry. The Travel and Tourism industry is extremely important to New Zealand. It is one of the main ways our country earns money.
